We've come through a lot during the past year. All of us on some level or another learned something during the madness of the COVID-19 pandemic. Obviously, the most important thing is the people we care about are here and healthy. For those who experienced loss, I am truly sorry.
But there were a lot of lessons learned too...not about the most efficient way to wear a mask or how to best measure six feet between each other. So many of us had the chance to share more home-cooked meals with our family, take longer walks with our dogs and to appreciate the endless streams of people who made sure we had food and household supplies. We are lucky to live where we do, and have the freedoms we have.
Nobody asked for the pandemic, and the losses were significant, but the world got recalibrated and that was a big reminder to take inventory of what we have, and hopefully to be kinder. Have a healthy and happy summer.
